Frequently Asked Questions


Q. When is Mohican Haunted Schoolhouse open this year?
A. Please see the calendar under DATES & HOURS. Customers need to be inside the entrance door and checked in to go through before the closing time for that night.


Q. What do time options mean when buying tickets online?
A. It means you are expected to arrive during the time slot you agreed to when purchasing the ticket. It is not guaranteed that you will be admitted during the time slot though we try to stay on schedule.


Q. If I miss my time slot will I still be able to use my online tickets?
A. If you miss your time slot, we will admit you later the same date IF you are inside the entry door before the specified time we close. You will take your place at the end of the line even if your missed time slot was earlier.


Q.  Can I come another night if I miss the date my ticket is for?
A. If you miss the date and want to attend another date, EMAIL THE REQUEST. This will be at the owner’s discretion if we can accommodate you. No refunds will be issued. *There is an option when you purchase your tickets online to purchase insurance through the ticket vendor.


Q. Can I upgrade to a Fast Pass once I arrive?
A. Yes, you may upgrade to a Fast Pass at the check-in booth for an additional fee.


Q. May I buy tickets onsite instead of online?
A. If tickets are available, you may purchase them onsite at an additional cost of $5.00 over online prices. No group discounts are available onsite. It is recommended that you buy online.   


Q. Do you offer discounts?
A. There are group discount options for online sales on specific nights. No discounts are offered onsite.


Q. Is there an age limit to Mohican Haunted Schoolhouse?
A. Children 12 or younger MUST be accompanied by an adult. The adult should determine what content is appropriate for the child they are responsible for. We will not assume responsibility for verifying birth dates but reserve the right to do so. All customers must be capable of navigating the haunted house independently without being carried or physically assisted. PLEASE DO NOT BRING INFANTS OR TODDLERS, THEY WILL NOT BE ADMITTED!


Q. What are the environmental conditions of Mohican Haunted Schoolhouse?
A. After leaving the queue line, customers should expect 30+ minutes of continuous walking and going up and down multiple staircases. There is a claustrophobia (pressure) wall section, a vortex spinning tunnel, mazes, and an outdoor area to get to the exit. Atmospheric conditions include, but are not limited to strobes, laser lights, blinking lights, darkness, fog, water spray, loud sounds, loud music, and startle scares. THOSE WITH ANY CONDITION THAT COULD BE ADVERSELY AFFECTED SHOULD NOT ATTEND. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR MEDICAL PROVIDER IF THIS IS APPROPRIATE FOR YOU! *We reserve the right to deny access to anyone who exhibits signs of not being able to navigate the haunt safely.


Q. What is the intensity level of Mohican Haunted Schoolhouse?
A. That is difficult to gauge since it depends on the individual. In our opinion, it may not be suitable for young children or squeamish or anxious people. Many scenes contain gore.  


Q. How do I exit Mohican Haunted Schoolhouse if the experience is too intense?
A. Simply approach any actor or worker and request to leave. You will be escorted out as quickly as possible. If the customer leaving should not be alone once they exit, such as a minor, a member of their group should go with them. There will be no refunds or re-entry.


Q. What personal items are customers allowed to bring into the haunt?
A. Vehicle keys, cell phones, and “essentials” within reason. STILL DON’T GET IT? See next question.


Q. What items are NOT PERMITTED to be brought in by customers?
A. For the safety of all, the following items will not be permitted in the door: Guns, knives, cutters, vapes, lighters, e-cigarettes, backpacks, large bags, camcorders, aerosol sprays, AND ANYTHING WE SAY NO TO AT OUR DESCRETION!!!   Pockets and purses are required to be emptied into bins to check for items that could present a problem. YOU MAY NOT WEAR ITEMS THAT DISGUISE YOUR FACIAL IDENTIFICATION.


Q. Does Mohican Haunted Schoolhouse offer a “Touch Pass”?
A. Mohican Haunted Schoolhouse does not have a “Touch Pass” where the customer pays extra to be touched. Contact with others may happen due to proximity to another, if assistance is required or requested, or when posing for a photo where photos are allowed. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES MAY CUSTOMERS INTENTIONALLY TOUCH, GRAB, STRIKE, OR THREATEN WORKERS!


Q. Can I record and take photos inside Mohican Haunted Schoolhouse?
A. Only in the queue line, and only with a conventional cell phone. Other recording devices are not allowed in.  After you leave the queue line it should be secured and not held in your hands!


Q. What if my property is damaged, stolen, or lost while I am on the haunt property?
A. Mohican Haunted Schoolhouse will not accept liability or reimburse anyone for any personal property brought onto or into the premises. The show will not be stopped, nor will customers be allowed to look for their property inside the building. You can make a report at the merchandise shop as you exit. An attempt will be made to contact you if your property is found or turned in.
